Chana Masala

A hearty, flavorful, and comforting classic—perfectly spiced and easy to make with Masala Gossip’s Chana Masala Simmer Sauce! 

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 cups boiled or canned chickpeas 
  • 4 oz Chana Masala Simmer Sauce 
  • Serving of rice or naan (for serving) 

Instructions:

  • Combine chickpeas & sauce: In a large pot, add the boiled or canned chickpeas and the 4 oz Chana Masala Simmer Sauce. 

  • Add water & simmer: Pour in 4 cups of water, cover the pot, and bring to a simmer over medium heat. 

  • Cook until thickened: Simmer for up to 20 minutes, or until the chickpeas absorb the flavor, and the sauce thickens. Stir occasionally. 

  • Serve hot: Pair with fresh naan or a steaming bowl of rice for the ultimate comfort food experience. 

    Notes 

    • Quick tip: If using canned chickpeas, make sure to rinse them thoroughly before adding to the sauce. 
    • Adjust spice: Add more water or adjust seasoning if you prefer a milder taste
